Hi everyone!

As a placement intern at High 5 Events, being able to travel and work at on-site events so swiftly has been amazing. 

I’ve had the opportunity to work hands on with an event and meet clients and delegates face-to-face at a pharma companies’ Cycle Meeting, just a few days after my one month anniversary! Not only did this involve organising meeting rooms with corresponding AV, coordinating catering services and arranging accommodation, but the client kindly involved me in the group climb at The O2.

We enjoyed incredible 360 degree views of London, after quite a slippy climb (thanks to the biblical rain the morning before).

Afterwards, we all headed to Gaucho at The O2 where we enjoyed a 3-course meal followed by a memorable karaoke performance from the guests. Truly one of a kind!

As a biomedical sciences student, having the chance to meet and engage with pharmaceutical companies is so helpful with deciding how I want to move forward after I’ve completed by degree. The pharma team were so easy to talk to and conversation flowed so easily - the advice they gave me couldn’t have been more welcome and useful and I am so grateful for this.

On Day 2, they had a motivational speaker during a series of resilience workshops which offer a range of benefits to employees. The entire team couldn’t have given more positive feedback as we fuelled their day with refreshments and buffets, not forgetting the celebratory cupcakes for one delegate who had recently passed their accounting exams – decorated by the winner of Bake Off: The Professionals 2024!

Overall I couldn’t be more grateful for the support from my High 5 colleagues, Emma and Nat, and the enthusiasm and positivity from the client - bring on the next event!
